Blessing Boxes

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14)

Take what you need and leave what you can! Above all, be blessed!

The KFUMC Community Blessing Boxes are located outside the front entrance of the church, just off Montgomery Street. They provide easy access to non-perishable food, canned goods, baby essentials, toiletries, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, pet products, and clothing. These boxes are used regularly and are restocked frequently throughout the week with donations from church members and local residents.
If you would like to donate to the Blessing Boxes, you can place your donations directly into the boxes or drop them off inside the church entrance during office hours: Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM and Friday from 9 AM to noon. A list of needed items can be found below.

**Notice** Please do not place perishable items in the Blessing Boxes! While donating food to those in need is a blessing, it is unsafe to donate perishable foods to an outdoor location that is not temperature-regulated. Extreme temperatures can compromise the safety of these items.  If you have perishable foods—such as meat, frozen products, dairy products, or eggs—please do not put them in the Blessing Box. Instead, contact the church office to arrange a time to bring these items directly to the church. The office is open Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM, or you can call 641-842-3712. The church has designated areas where these items can be safely stored and distributed.

Monetary donations are also welcome and can be mailed to the church at 313 East Montgomery Street, Knoxville, IA 50138 with “Blessing Box” noted on the envelope. Alternatively, you can click on Give to Knoxville First United Methodist Church and select “Blessing Boxes” from the drop-down menu.

Thank you for your continued support!
